The History

Built in 1878 by one of Taylor’s pioneers, John R. Hoxie, the mansion was originally part of a 5000-acre ranch known as the Flag Springs Ranch. Back in its day the mansion was home to many parties and social events for the elite and over the years many stories and tales about the house have been passed down from generation to generation. The Qualls family purchased the property back in 1978 and wanted to share the beautiful estate with locals so they started offering it as a wedding and special events venue in 2007. 

Robert and Lindsey Smith purchased the property at the end of 2021 and are dedicated to continuing the long tradition of being the social hub for the area. This is not a corporate property like so many others nowadays but our home, we live here and operate the venue. We are always here to assist and support you with your event in any way that we can.

Lindsey is an accomplished equestrian, who loves animals. We have her horses. mini horses, KuneKune pigs, ducks, chickens, dogs, and cats all living here with us. Before buying the Taylor Mansion Lindsey owned and operated Willow Ranch horse boarding and training facility in Manor Tx.

Robert has a background in the Hospitality industry as well as having been an executive with Samsung. Apple, Infinite Power Solutions, Zhone and American Metabolix.

Our Son Isaac attends Taylor High School and is active in sports and knows just about every stat of every player in any sport!
